    usc runs extremely well and texas passes good but not outstanding

    SU edge goes to USC

    spread hard to call but might lean usc but prolly not gonna bet it

    i'm liking texas in this game tomorrow night myself.

    i feel they can hang with them, and maybe even pull off the upset. if and only if USC start out slow and sluggish in the first half, like they have done alot of times this year.

      Didn't you say this game would close at 5 dan? I'm gonna have to dig up that thread.

      Anyways, I like Texas as well, good luck.

                  Boys, if their is one thing i have taken from this bowl season it's this. When it comes to these games all previous results/trends have provided little insight into the outcome of these games. Point in case, how many times have favourites been rolled? Now one of two things is happening:
                  1. The books are being smart-arses. Knowing that NFL favourites have been rolling big time this year they have preyed on the publics stupidity and inflated the line over what it should have been under normal circumstances. People jump on and get moosed, books recover from the ass pounding they've received. Personally i believe this to be the case in relation to this bowl season and am disappointed i didn't see it coming before it started.

                  Alternatively,

                  2. When it comes down to it, it is really just one game where all previous results, season trends etc can be thrown out the window and the best, most determined team on the day gets up to win. I am also thinking that no matter how good you believe any of these two teams are in particular areas, this game will be a hard tough game that may come down to a single mistake late in the game. Both teams will want the win and both teams have the ability to beat the other with their skills in particular areas. Neither Texas or USC will lie down if they fall behind. Be it a touchdown or two. That being the case i can see no other play but taking the points here and perhaps buying the hook whichever way you decide to go.

                  Any thoughts?
                  Best of luck whatever you decide.

                    I don't think this game will be close, but I don't know who is going to win. The worst possible bet is USC on the ML, in my opinion. I think if they win the game, it will be big. I just sort of think Texas might beat them, and if they do, it will be by 14 or 17. I think the best value is Texas -3.5 +350.

                      this one will be a game of early momentum, and razz is correct, it will not be close. the reason i see the edge going to usc is because they have more momentum creating players on their roster.

                        Me = close and Texas
                        Razz = blow-out and Texas
                        isetcap = blow-out and USC

                          Texas wins this one Straight Up forget about the points. USC has a nasty habit of falling behind early. If you fall behind against Texas all you'll be able to do is waive Bye Bye to them.
