Here is the latest report on Rudy Carpenter:

Arizona State quarterback Rudy Carpenter was unable to throw in practice Tuesday due to swelling in his sprained right thumb.

IMO, I don't think I could take ASU in this spot at all. In fact I'd be inclined to take the Ducks.

ASU could have easily lost to CU earlier this year. I don't think they are as good as their record suggests.

Needless to say I am on the DUCKS at home.

Sagarin ratings have the Ducks favored by about 5, but if Carpenter can't play at 100%, you can't possibly play on ASU.

How do you know? Do you even know Rudy's back-up? Probally not. It's Danny Sullivan and he is more than able.
And obviously, you haven't even watched ASU play. They are a smashmouth, physical team. Passing is secondary. They are run first. I think Rudys finger is ok to hand-off.
Also, If they can play this game without getting stupid penalties, they can win by double digits.
So all you nay-sayers, stay with the Ducks. You would think any one on this forum would figure out that if the public is all on one side, that's not good.

How do you know he will be more than able? He's thrown 15 passes in his college career for 46 yards, and none this year. He may well be, but you can't just throw a 20 year-old into his first start at the #4 team in the nation, and expect him to perform like he did during a spring game.

I wanted ASU +7 +115 on matchbook -- it was the best an Ore bettor could get( -7 -115) for much of the period I left it up. There were no Oregon takers at that price. I thought with everyone so sure about Ore it would get matched. I guess not. From the posts here, I'm glad I took it down. I'll get a better line tomorrow.

I've got 1 unit on ASU +7 +117 at matchbook, depending on price might throw 1 or 2 more units on them.

If i had bigger balls Id take the ml, cause I do think they will win this game, and go undef as well.
