Friday- Louisville vs UConn- opinions?

of course i would like to see Louisville roll. but i'm not touching this one. UConn is a pretty solid team. they kind of fly under the radar in the big East, but yet keep having good seasons and going to bowls.

I'm taking the Cards. Uconn hasn't played anyone. The Cards has been up and down, but there offense can still score in bunches.

I like UConn because Louisville is still going to be in a celebration mode of beating Cincinnati, take the points in this one.

Connecticut is good all around football team...I've gotten to watch them play now four times and I think the biggest difference with their team from the past couple of years is the consistency of their play from the QB position...QB Tyler Lorenzen has really performed well this year both with his passing as well as his scrambling skills...all reports I read indicate RB Donald Brown will be back this week...with him back along with elusive RB Dixon, it should bolster Connecticut's running game...Louisville did win their game last week vs. Cincinnati, but if you look further into the box score you will see that Cincinnati turned the ball over deep in Louisville territory several times...also, Louisville has had a tough time getting their running game going all year, not to mention both of their starting WR's have been playing hurt...Edsal should have his team ready to play in this one...I'm on Connecticut here...

games in UConn rain likely.

UL's running game should be ok in the rain. Bolen & Allen are both big strong runners. UL's running game has been MIA for the most part because they have fell behind early and play catch up.

After giving this one some thought I'm going with UL. I believe they have turned the corner, or at least made the curve.

What would this line have been at the beginning of they year? Louiville is playing more now like the team they are supposed to be and I think they will win this one easy.

Uconn is approaching a tough stretch in there schedule. After a 5-1 start against a weak schedule. The could ending up losing 5 out of 6. They play Louisville tonight, than South Florida, Rutgers, Cincin, Syracuse, West Virgina. Ends up 6-6

If that's the same weather system that rolled through here yesterday, then I would bet the house on the under. We had 70 mph wind gusts here yesterday.

I'm leaning towards uconn here. Louisville's defense has been so f'n inconsistent this year. They play great one game and the next game they allow a mediocre offense to run all over them.

Do I go with uconn with a less than average offense and a solid defense or do I go with louisville with a solid offense and a less than average defense? If I knew Louisville's defense is going to show up tonight I would defnitely lean towards them here. They gave up yardage against syracuse, utah and middle tenn. Played great against kentucky, cinci and nc. Which offense does uconn fall under? I'd say the first.

I dunno tough tough call here. I'll have to sit on it for a bit before I make up my mind.

after getting screwed last night on my USF play because of bad calls by the officials, I'm rollin with louisville tonight. I think they've turned the corner and should win the game by a TD.

I mean relatively speaking. They are 0.3 yppl worse than average on offense. I have watched them play this year but thanks for taking a shot at me.

Rainy day all day here in Hartford. Slow track. Gusty winds.

If UL is relying on pass offense, they may not score too much. UCONN lives on the running game. I could see some clock management, ball control play from UCONN to try to win this one.

This one could be VERY low scoring. I think my play will be the under. If I had to choose a side, I'd take the points. Homecoming for UCONN.

IMO, bad field conditions favor UL. The UL defense has been burned the worst on long pass plays, and bad conditions should make that more difficult, and aid their D. With both big backs back tonight, I look for UL to have 50/50 run pass ratio.
