I just wish he could be starting when Denver beats Jacksonville's ass this year.

I'm looking forward to seeing Tebow. I had a hunch he might get picked earlier than anticipated.

Im really happy for Tebow. I have followed him for quite some time now. I remember when he first started tearing it up at Nease. I graduated from Nease and we always sucked but then comes this Tebow kid and all of a sudden we have a good football team. He is a winner and a great kid. While I did love to hate him while he was at UF one thing is for sure......I respected the hell out of the kid and any hate towards him was pure jealousy that he chose UF over Shula. In hindsight best for him and best for us. Now I really hope he makes the Jags look like the idiots that they are.

one oft he worst trades in NFL history. Tebow is a spread formation QB with a weak arm. He is going to get killed in the NFL in the Pro set. He is effectively buried in Denver, behind two QB's with experience. His career is over.

i dont think so, it will be a while for him to start, but i bet he'll be better than mccoy, i also hate the tebow bandwagon, but the kid is a hard-worker, and hard-workers usually accomplish their goals, dont expect a hof career but also he's not going to be a bust. I expect to see him sometimes as a situational player this season with denver darkhorse formation (their wildcat variation)

The problem I have with the selection is that Denver is making no sense at all. They have two QB's who will be fighting for the starting position. The team just dumped their best WR. Now they take a QB who will certainly be a project for one to two years. Now a project is fine, if you are a consistant playoff caliber team, but Denver is not. They have not been to the playoffs in four years. It appears that the Denver HC wants to have a squeaky clean team, no matter how talented they may be. If the Pats took Tebow, I could understand the thinking. Denver needs help now. Not three years from now. They just traded away any hope of competing in the AFC West for the next two years or so.

BD, you got good point's, I just don't think he will get killed. No way. My opinion by the 6, 7, maybe 8th game he's the starter. He's in Denver already, in some hotel, he paid for, learning the play-book. It's against NFL rules to report to training center, in April. So he is living in A hotel 2o miles from center, working with coaches as of 3 pm est. He's A winner. That's all true stuff. Mid-season he's the starter.

hey Big, I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts on why Denver traded up so high to take him? I thought he'd be around at a cheaper price to trade up to?

Between how hard he works, Kyle Orton isn't Joe Montana (lol), I just feel if they are like 3-5 record. Why note, By the end of camp, he's #2 on the depth chart. Remember the Head Coach's butt is on the line, he made this draft pic. Tebow got off the plane yesterday and there was like 4 inches of snow. He never seen show before. I hope the best for him.

The head coach is a head job. If Tebow has to start by game 8, that means Denver is 0-7. Tebow will get manhandled. Tebow is just not that good of a QB. He is coming out of a system that did absolutely nothing to prepare him for the NFL. You saw what a good defense can do to him. 'Bama made him a non-issue in the SEC Championship game. LSU held him to 13 points. South Carolina held him to 24 points, and Tennessee held him to 23, in a game at home that Florida wanted to run up the score. Those are not all star results. He has to learn a new system. His arm is not strong. If he starts next season, Denver finishes last in the AFC West. Denver finishes last no matter what, but Tebow would be much better off sitting for a year and learning. This team needs a lot more than Tebow to become a contender. They are way behind San Diego, have now fallen behind Oakland, and is probably behind Kansas City.

Tebow is just not that good of a QB, BD you know alot about the college game. Two BCS Champs, one Heisman almost every SEC record. Maybe he holds the ball too low and all that "BS" he get's the job done. We will have to see, in my opinion, he will be A GOOD QB in the NFL.
