Like Purdue here. The big problem for ND, in my opinion, is they cannot stop the run to save their lives.

ND is giving up an average of over 200 ypg on the ground and Purdue is averaging over 200 ypg offensively on the ground. If Purdue can continue pounding the ground game and combine that with their already good passing attack, I don't see how the Irish can stop them.

I think the Irish, eventually, will come around offensively. But that run defense has huge issues presently.

I fell that this just maybe too many points, but ND is the worst, and this line still is set for people to take ND. I'm skipping on this but I feel if I had to I would take Purdue.

Im not touching this game either, I really think that that Miami High school or southlake Carroll High could give the Irish a run for their money.....This team could be one of the worst teams in recent history that I can remember......Its sad to see the Irish move to the lower regions where a SMU or UTEP could have a good shot at beating them.

I would almost blindly fade ND.

However, they did play a respectable 1H against Michigan St last Saturday (14-17 behind). They also found a running game they didn't have before. So I'm thinking they will continue to build on that foundation. If Purdue allows them to run the ball, ND could cover. If the onus is on the ND QB, Purdue covers.

I have taken Purdue, I think they want to get even and stack it up if they can. I took ND and 20.5 a couple of weeks ago and got killed. I MIGHT bet ND sometime next year.

Purdue doesn't have a D. They allowed Minnesota last week to hang with them, and Minnesota is a bad. They only won by 14. I'm staying away from this one.

Good thoughts, but the only reason ND looked good in the first half is because Michigan State lost the ball on their own 10 yard line. I think if they AVOID MISTAKES, that purdue can cover that 22 point spread by halftime. I can see it now............and the Boilermakers strike again.....sound the whistle

Difference was the rushing yards. In the first three games ND had -14 rushing yards total. Last Saturday they had +177 yards running the ball.

Purdue is a passing team. According to the early stats the ND defense is much better against the pass than against the rush.

ND does have good numbers against the pass but they also haven't faced a team with a passing offense with a pulse. Those teams also had so much success running there wasn't a reason to throw so I feel the numbers are a bit skewed.

Purdue is definitely a passing team but they've also averaged nearly 6 yds/carry (200 yds/game) albeit against below average defenses.

i can just see it now purdue is leading 38-10 with 1:55 left in the fourth quarter and ND has just fair caught a punt at their own 40 yard line. do you really want to have your money on nd being able to get that back door touch down or would you rather have your money on purdue's lousy defense to stop nd from scoring that TD that doesnt even matter because they arent trying to protect any shutout or anything? this game is a dog with fleas. clearly the pick is purdue, but i dont feel purdue should be laying 22 right now. there are much better plays on the board. you wanna lay some points and stay in the big ten then take ohio st or michigan, i like both these teams this weekend.

Notre Dame and Purdue don't have a defense, it should be pretty high scoring I think. I think 21 pts. is a lot to give up considering Purdue's defense isn't any good at all. They let pathetic Minnesota score some points on them so I would think that pathetic Notre Dame could score some also. I would take the 21 points in this one I think.

Minny has a decent offense, there defense is just horrid. ND dosen't have either. Still 21 is a lot of points.

Anyone who is taking Notre Dame +22 HAS to be considering parlaying it with the OVER 54. Purdue will put up 42 pretty automatically against this team... so you are betting on ND to have 21+, which will cream the over.

I think this is a solid statement. Purdue will score at least five TDs. If you think ND will cover the spread, you have to parlay it with the over. I doubt ND will cover the spread. Purdue will score in the mid-to-high 30s minimum. If you like ND you have to love the over...
