Rutgers/navy Game Today Was A Possible Fix?
I notice something wird today. Navy was trailing 41-17 against Rutger late in the 4th Quater. The spread on Matchbook live betting was +16.5 for Navy. Navy score late in the game and made the score 41-23. Instead of going for the two points conversion to make it a 2 touchouch game, they settle for the extra point. There was over a minute left and knowing history coaches always go for the two. it Would have made the game 41-25 and two more touchdowns and 2 point conversion would have even the score up. Instead to went for one point kick to make it 41-24. Meaning it was a three possession game know instead of two. It was like the players and coaches on Navy knew not to go for a two because of the +16.5 point spread. Anybody notice that? It seemed like they purposely sabotage this game for them not to cover the point spread.

teams always wait until the very end (yeah this was closed to end) to go for 2 when they're closing in on a comeback/tie. teams quit when they don't convert so they wait till it's absolutely needed. if a team's down 15 and they score, they'll go for the PAT and assume they'll score again then hit the 2 pter. if the 2 pter failes, they won't give a shitt the rest of the way since it's over

    yeah it was fixed datek.com

What was somewhat odd to me was Rutgers had no reason to go for it on 4 and short... The game was over with 2:22 left and a FG would hve been fine but they rubbed it in and Navy comes right back and scores a TD to keep it on the number so yeah I wouldn't doubt it if it was fixed!

What was there like 55 seconds left? I know what you are saying but a "fix" is a little over the top I'd say.

That was all stat padding for Rice. They want him to win the Heisman.

I doubt this game was fixed.

I think Rutgers will always try and run the score up when they can so they can get more recogniton.

                where was there 17.5?

i see it closed at 17 a few places in vegas. but online, all there was was bodog, justbet (which denied me when i tried to deposit), and probably sportsbook.com at 17

sbrlines says wsex went to 17 for a second, but i didn't catch it. it closed at 16.5 there, 16 at pinnacle, and 15.5 at cris.

in regards to the question here, there was less than a minute left -- i had +16.5 and I didn't expect them to go for two -- I certainly think they should have, i mean why not? but, i really doubt the spread had anything to do with it. maybe the coaches felt practicing an extra pt in a game was more important than a 2 pt conversion. they weren't going to score 16pts in 50 seconds.

I am just saying it seems like they knew not go for a two because of betting reasons. Instead of two they went for one, making them behind by three scores. if they went for two, it would been two touchdowns difference and with two 2 point conversions to tie it up. Just saying it was weird

considering the game spent a large portion of the week between -12 and -15.5 it would seem real unlikely

betweeen -12 to -17.5 epending on the sportsbook, don't you think 5.5 difference in a week is a big difference? plus not going for two for a possible comeback?

i got it at -15.5 two points won't make a difference.

yeah, the average line was at 16.6, this is pretty suspecious indeed.

I lucked out and managed to get a push on my three dime bet. I got them at +17. That was an insane game. I think I lost about 10 days off my life sweating that one out. Three INT's two in the red zone. I don't understand how a QB can't throw a ball. Him and those damn option plays. One thing I didn't like was he didn't try and run a QB sneak right up the gut. The D-Line was spread and he could of easily gained some yardage in some of those plays. When all you do is run or pass you can tailor your defense around a team and shut them down. It's crazy they did not go for a pass first down the whole game. I got lucky on that push so, I can't be all that upset.

Considering the ref's did everything possible to get Navy to cover the spread I think the fix was in on this one.

You are kidding me with this fix bs right? The reason why Rutgers went on 4th down is because even if they don't get the first down, Navy has to drive down a long field, which is more crucial to burn the clock at the end. And the reason why Navy didn't go for 2 is because the game was over already. C'mon take you loss like a man and stop with this nonsense...

I didnt touch the line, instead I had Navy OVER 17 pts, and that was a nice hit at +100, but I had it on four different parlays so Im not out of the woods yet.....

I like when people lose on a game, the game is fixed. Anyone who lost should move on and stop stressing about the Fix Fairy that's going around fixing games they bet on.
