I agree JJ; classic case of two men putting their own glory ahead of the organizations that made them so famous. Today's CF teams need young, innovative coachs. UF will now pull a lot of the recruits in Florida and Rutgers will steal some from Penn State.
Bowden and his son have both set the program back at least 5 years. Name a good offensive player in the NFL that came out of FSU since 2001?

Still good coaches, they just both have had bad off cord the last 5 years, they still get the best recruits in the land, just no one to teach them up!

There is a top-drawer coaching staff now at FSU. I suspect new off schemes and blocking technique slowed them down,they should bounce back.
Penn State is back in the bowls, won their last two. And did OK on Sat.
As long as these two schools can recruit - and they can - they'll be there or thereabouts. It's what made USC what they are today, a phenemenol recruiting scheme. You can always find the x's and o's guys.
