    Tuberville to T-Tech
Tommy Tuberville will be the net HC at Texas Tech. Tuberville should being some stbility to a rather pourous defense. He said that he is not going to abandon T-Tech's pass first, run last offense. Since Leach was his own OC, it will be imteresting to see who Tuberville hires or promotes to run the show.

Tuberville and company lose most of their defensive line. Only 2 return out of their 8 2 deep, and those two both played the NT position. LB Williams is gone, as a re two CB's. Now is the time to initiate a new program on the defensive side of the ball. With a bunch of players returning on offense, a cream puff non-con schedule, and games with Teas early, Okie State, and Missouri, all at home, T-Tech can easily contend for the Big 12 championship. The critical game is the early game against Texas at home, on 9/18, or week 3. That sets the tone for the entire season. Tech finishes the Big 12 season very early, and plays two non-con games to end the year.

This is a great hire. Tuberville knows how to win as the (perceived) #2 program in his state. I still have nightmares about his win streak against the Tide. I don't think they will challenge for the Big 12 next year, but he will keep the program strong. It wouldn't surprise me if he surpasses Leach's accomplishments.

Tubbs will do a great job at TT.....If TT should start changing cordinators every 18 months then TT backers have something to worry about....He never supported the Cordinators against his assistants...his assistants were his hunting and fishing buddies and with the talent he had at Auburn he should have won at least 1 national championship (that hurt me to say) but the turn over at the cordinators position didnt allow the players to ever get used to one system and be efficient at it..one year the DC would leave and then the next year the OC would leave.....If he leaves the good ole boys behind then watch out for TT....

Any word on who takes the OC spot? Leach was his own OC. That may be the first hint as to what Tuberville has planned for T-Tech.

As far as I know, McNeil is staying, but he was the DC.

                        Tuberville was great until Saban.

He will find out how hard it is to get players in Tex, while UT just drafts them.

You have to run a unique offense to be able to survive with lesser talent that your peers. Hopefully Tub trys to keep some of Leach's offensive staff, b/c that offense makes the competitive with anyone in the country.

I wonder why Tubbs didn't wait on the LSU job next year. Only a blind squirrel thinks Miles will keep that job losing 4-5 games a year and Saban going undefeated.

McNeill was just fired by T-Tech, which makes sense. Their defense was horrible, and Tuberville is a defensive coach. No big suprise there.

Not a major shock. Does anyone really think that Tubes is going to play it as wide open as Leach did? I sincerely doubt it.
