Ill be the first to admit Im a bit of a 'hack' - I dont grab the ealry lines because too much changes before gametime...like Nevada being down its two 1,000 yard backs - and I usually dont have the stones to pull the trigger and follow my own analysis when it comes to laying the bigger bets. I run the numbers, watch the clips and often end up with non-betters remorse...but here's my $0.02:
Call it a 'home game' for SMU - HC June Jones old stomping ground, where he turned a hurting Hawaii team around. 1-11 in '08 to 7-5 this year. Big numbers from Mitchell and Padron and McNeal, but the D isnt all that at 93rd in the nation. Nevada is 1-4 in bowl games. In last years beating, curtosey of Maryland, Nevada only managed a little more than 100RY. Nevada has the best 1-2-3 punch behind Taua, Kaepernick and Lippincott...but guess who isnt playing tonight! In 8 games they averaged 513 RYPG and almost 52ppg.
Originally I was on the Nevada Cash Train plus the over...now, if I had to pick (although Im a pass on this game) its SMU plus the points...and the under. 72 points is a lot to score without the workhorses in the backfield for NevadaComment -
