I know this is against the directions of the thread but for all of you supporting Cal what is your reasoning? In order for CAL to win they have to dominate the running game. Do you guys feel confident that CAL will win if Utah is able to shut doen CAL's running game?

Who says the running game is the only factor?

FYI Cal has better running game than Utah, against better competition, even with RB Best out. AND Cal has a better rush defense than Utah, again, vs. better competition. Utah is ovverated still by the public from last yr, has lost a lot of excellent players. Utah has a freshman QB played last 4 games, went 2-2, 0-2 vs bowl teams.

Issue tonight is "which Cal team shows up"? If they are motivated, fired up, they should win handily over Utah. I think coming off letdown loss final game of yr in Washington, coaches will push players and they will respond. We'll see.

I like Cal - 2.5, medium play.

I'm not really familiar with CAL but from what I've been reading is that if you shut down their running game you pretty much win the game. It seems that if you force Cal's Qb to throw a lot he tends to make big mistakes. I do agree with you about CAL being bi-polar of sorts, if their "intense" team shows up then I think they can cover. WHat do you think about the over/under?
