Why is MTSU a 4 pt dog?

Southern Miss really doesn't have any quality wins and MTSU was blowing people up all year long. Closest wins were at Maryland and at Florida Atlantic. MTSU loses were closer than the scores indicate. And they were all good teams.
Troy was at home and they are the sun belt champs. Clemson was at home and almost bet GT in acc championship game. Miss St hung tough with a lot of very good SEC teams.
MTSU has a very solid defense. And I can see them shutting down Southern Miss and winning big.

Anyone else see this?? Or do i just have the wrong train of thought?

I locked in Southern Miss -3.5 earlier in the week and I think the line should be closer to 5 or 6. I guess one of us will be right.

So. Niss plays well in bowl games. MTSU could not beat anyone of note. They are 6-0 both S/U and ATS is their past 6 games, but look who they were against? If you learned anything yesterday, it is the conferences that you play in do make a difference in these Pre-Christman bowl games. The MWC is much better than the WAC, and the Big East is a BCS Conference, wo played against a non-BCS Conference CUSA team yesterday. The teams from the better conferences won. IMO, CUSA is a better conference than the Sun Belt, so gun to head, I take So.Miss and give the 3.5. Now this rule is not set in stone, and this game certainly is not worth wagering on, but if you must, just a thought.

This is true, but Wyoming came from a much better conference than Fresno State, and Fresno State has been a terrible favorite, always playing down to their competition level.

Midd Tenn is in the Sun Belt.
Sun Belt should go to D-2 football.
