'TIS THE SEASON FOR BURNIN' AND LOOTIN" - danky dank's bowl thread
ah, thank you sweet baby jeebus, bowl season is finally here.

what a glorious time of year. This year I'm going to do more than just enjoy all the beautiful football action, I'm going to turn 2,000$ into over 10 gs

thanks right, 10,000 big ones. thats a lot of cake. huge piles of dough. bucketfulls of coin. big fat blunts. dozens of lap dances. stacks AND stacks of kiz-ash, people.

and I'm going to let y'all here at SBR come along for the ride.

Fresno fumbles on the cowboy 10 yard line. only concern i had was bulldog turnovers. the icing: matthews heading into the locker room. yikes.

not a great start for fresno backers. always have to sweat it.

congrats to those who took wyoming on a side play. OT locks in the +10.5. I just need fresno to somehow win by 7 to save my fresno + saints teaser and salvage something from this game. heres hoping fresno gets the ball first in OT.

OT is a great way to kick off this bowl season though, regardless of the outcome

to call this a poor start is beyond an understatement.

                -850$

Goose egg in the W department.

                rocky, rocky start.

I also am big on the saints tonight. have them in a huge ML parlay. and i unloaded on them at -7.5 2h because i tilted and chased. A win here could save my night. Another loss will be detrimental to the bankroll, to say the least.

                Come on, saints!

I think you might be teasing me a little, but i may still follow that advice. I know smart bettors never chase, but i tend more to the degen side and I'm feeling like a second chase is order (the first chase being on the saints last night. DOH)

on a side note: I also lost over 300 points in the sbr casino last night. craps and black jack. yikes.

So you are going to chase and end the pain in a hurry, right? Considering you did just about everything wrong wagering wise that you could (not the teams, just the parlays, teasers, etc...) you would be very locky to break even. Start following some good gaming rules and maybe you can end up on the plus side if you are lucky, but that is going to take a ton of work. Obviously you blew most of your bankroll on the Saints. You must be down what, 75% of your bankroll on 3 games? Patients my friend. Patience is why we who win a lot of money, are successful. We all hae out losing streaks, but we also kow that you play this game for the long haul, not a quick fix.

bigdaddy, the advice is spot on. thanks, sir.

bankroll management has been something ive battled with since i started sportsbetting earlier in the season. and as much i lke playing the teasers and parlays, I do know that you're right about making plays that hold up over the long run.

thanks for input. I obviously have work to do in order to tighten my game

                              Don't chase!!!!

                              Build your bankroll

$2000 bankroll should have $20 units, not $50 units.

IMHO- bankroll is down to 11-1200, take it down to $10 units.
                              Just look to build.
Don't go chasing with $100. $240 chase bets-
You do that, you're not gonna last more than a week.

thanks, darrel. id be wise to do that. all season i used 25$ units. the wait for the bowls had me all ansy though.

sidenote: i started this bowl project with more than 2 gs. I just used that figure as a starting point for the bowl season.

alright, putting this one up a little late, but i can post the ticket if anyone doubts:

but I have OSU -3 for 440 to win 400 tonight.

                                    come on, beavers!

                                      just put me autofade.

for the record, 440 wasn't really a chase bet. This was a game i had circled as a big bet before the bowl season even started.

I thought pac-10 teams had a ton of value, as they'd be under-rated on the national stage.

                                      what do i know?

besides how to flush 1500 in just a couple days.

                                      congratulations, me.
