Every once and a while a bet comes along where you need to roll up the sleeves and unload...this is it. Will be wagering half my bank on this ($3250). I had this pegged at -10 minimum. -5 is a gift. Not sure why. Usually I'm wary of what appear to be wayward lines, but I've seen enough this season to commit to this cause in a BIG way.Comment -

Texas has weak running game, and it's OL was exposed vs. Nebraska. Give Alabama a month to work on their defensive gameplan and McCoy should be a sitting duck!
IMO Ala defense is even better than Nebraska's, and Alabama's offense is definitely 1,000% better than Nebraska's!
Artificial turf helped Nebraska's speed rushing, regular turf will slow down Alabama a bit.Comment -

The main culprit is easily Okl losing their L3 bowls as B12 champs. B12 2-3 SU as lower ranked but Tx won as 2 vs 1.
I do prefer HC trends over any other as it's usually his team, staff, and playbook. Brown is 8-3 in bowls at Texas with 3 BCS bowl Ws.
Saban is 8-2 vs AP Top 25 '08-'09, 5-0 in '09. In bowls, was 0-3 at Mich St, 3-2 at LSU ( 1 Nat'l Championship), and is 1-1 at Ala losing LY to Utah 31-17.
HC trends favors Texas.

I think it's going to be a typical Big 12-SEC National Title Game. Texas is going to have trouble scoring points on Bama's D, and I don't think the same will be true for Bama against Texas' D. This could be a game where a play an alternate line. Bama by double digits, unless something strange happens between now and gametime.
By the way, check my blog from Nov. 29. Missed the SEC title game score by 1 pt.
