First half: like the over (29) and Cincy (-.5)
    First post here.

I've watched 5-6 Cincy games this year. I've only seen Pitt play a couple of times.

Before I explain my picks - I'd like to say that having two great quarterbacks does not seem to me like a reason why to like a team in a bet. Only one can play at a time, right? And the only way it's a huge advantage is if one of them were to get hurt. I've seen a couple of folks citing that as a reason to like Cincy.

Why I like the over in the first half is that I've seen enough of Brian Kelly to know that he's not going to come out with a conservative gameplan. He's not going to be conservative because of what's at stake. On the contrary - the Bearcats will come out throwing deep. And they'll take some big gambles on defense (sending the house on blitzes) early in the game. That's how this team plays in the first half - very loose and aggressive. I think you'll see a quick td for cincy on their first possession. And I think you'll see cincy force a turnover early in the game OR get burned deep on one of those blitz calls. I just think this is going to be a wild first half.

I like Cincy in the first half because I just don't think Pitt can hang with them. Cincy's offensive line is freaking huge. You almost never see penetration into their backfield. This team has an incredible offense, and they come up with some big plays on defense. At -.5, they're treating this 1H like it's a coin toss. I think they're giving way too much credit to Pitt, and I don't think that home field advantage makes that big of a difference in this one. Kelly's on the fast track to any coaching job he wants in the country. And this is a statement they need to make to have any chance at making it into the national championship (if Texas were to lose / wacky events transpire). I just don't see Cincy going into the locker room at halftime either down or tied. I see them up 24-7 or more.
