Yeah and Tebow or Ingram will win it. The Heisman is a joke you have to be on a top 10 team to even have a chance.

how many times has Tebow thrown for 300yds. in a game? He runs a wildcat offence because hes not a qb. you can call it the spread but he doesn't pass for big yards.

Golden Tate isn't even the best receiver on his team... Floyd would have better numbers than Tate if he didn't get injured.

Also McCoy is a much better chance of winning the Heisman than Tebow.

I agree with wookie. Floyd is the best WR on that team.

What is this? Some kind of bad joke? Tate has zero chance of winning the award. Gerhart was better than any player that the Irish put on the field last night. Give me a break. McCoy wins, though Gerheart should win it.

The point is that he wont win- just like the Bears. But we can still like him as fans, and unlike anyone on the Bears, he is as good as any one player in the league. The point which you have missed, which I should probably reiterate once more, is that he wont get it despite his proven skills and unquestionable talent. The Heisman Trophy is very political with players from top 10 teams (according to the BCS which is a whole-nother story within the lines of political standing) unanimously recieving consideration. It's an award for the best offensive player in the league. In order for the process to be as noble and honest as the method by which association to which collegiate athletics is associated; the voters need to expand their horizons.

He isn't the best player on the team and their 6-6. I haven't looked at the numbers but he should be in the running for the Biletnikoff Award.

I think that Tate is the best reciever in college football but he will not even be in the Heisman conversation. Gerhart is the best player in the country but will probably finish 3rd in voting behind Colt McCoy and Ingram from Alabama. Tate also has a great NFL name like Colt McCoy and Colt Brennan form Hawaii. Whatever happened to Applewhite from Texas? Great name there too.
