Navy a good pick this week
-7.5 pts is great against the crappy run D that Hawaii possesses. Add in a 4th string QB and Hawaii is headed for a long night. Navy's coach is from Hawaii and there will be no bad blood if the score gets outta hand. Hawaii fans know when their team stinks. I say take the points here. Anyone have any other opinions?

I hate Navy when they are favored, but as dogs I'd play them every chance I get.

I'm already seeing Navy -8. Good point I won with the dog twice when Navy was favoured and they barely covered -2.5 ag Wake for me. Its a late game 4 time zones away for Navy.. I'll keep it as a lean for now

Hawaii is running hot right now also. Plus Hawaii's strength(Passing) is Navy's main weakness (passing defense).

I dont expect the same intensity that Navy showed in the Norte Dame, and Ohio State games. Plus the traveling that Navy is going to have to crazy. One side of the country, to the other, then 7 hours across sea.

If I was yall, I would try to figure out if the Navy coach is going to take his kids sight seeing, or on a tour of Hawaii. Those types of factors weigh against visiting teams. Especially a Navy team that has to give surpreme effort and focus to win games.

Sound analysis, I'll switch my lean to Hawaii +8

This is a very good point. And, as a rule, I generally agree. Let's keep in mind this year they were missing key players against Wake. However I really think Hawaii matches up very poorly against this team.

Very true about Wake. Although that game was played in a monsoon, and that titled the advantage to Navy's run game. Wake, a predominately passing team, on the road was a victim of the weather. Dude there were water puddles in the middle of the field it was pretty crazy.

The line opened at -9 in Vegas. Everyone in here was on the Air Force last week and look what happened. We will be watching this line closely. There really is no reason for the line to be dropping, unless some of the guys think that Hawaii's 3 game winning streak is that impressive.

i just can't see hawaii's defense being disciplined enough to stop the triple option. and even though hawaii's offense passes a lot, they're down to their 4th string quarter back who is not good. they had to win in OT against a terrible san jose st team, putting up only 10 points in regulation. but the traveling and late game time does weigh heavy on visiting teams...

QH brought up a point which is in my write-up on this game. veryone thought Air Force looked too easy last week justlike this week with Navy. Houl's brings up a good point about teams traveling to the Island and Navy being solid as a do but less than impressive as a fav. All these points have solid foundation to them and need to be taken into consideration. I did and you should too. Course I still took Navy but I did take things into account.

Hawaii has a 3 win streak right now but the teams they have beat have a combined recorded of 14-44 I think, somewhere in that range. Our QB was missing passes and his throws were off by a lot. The Hawaii D will not be able to hold. Traveling teams have distractions but is Navy not as disciplined as the Boise st and Fresno State teams? If anything, I think Navy is a better team than Fresno and look what Fresno did to Hawaii.
