6.5 point best play for me this weekend:
* Oklahoma +1 at Nebraska - Let's look at the last 3 games for the Huskers. Blown out by TTech at home, lose to Iowa State at home, unimpressive in a 10 point win over Baylor. This is not a game that Stoops and the Sooners lose even if they are on their 4th QB. The Nebraska defense has been good this year and that will keep the Huskers in the game, but they have the 11th ranked offense in the Big 12 at 15 ppg. I like the Sooners by a TD here.
Teasing that with.....
* Alabama -1 vs. LSU - I expect a low scoring battle, as do most people. Let's look at LSU's road games......ESCAPE with a win out of Starkville in a game that could've easily went either way and beat a mediocre Georgia team by 7 points with plenty of controversy. This isn't Miss St or Georgia we are dealing with here. Saban knows what is at stake here and the last thing he is going to do is let a Les Miles team come into Tuscaloosa and get a "W." With 2 offenses that can really struggle to throw the football, the running game will obviously be very important. 'Bama's rush D gives up 67 ypg, while LSU gives up 114. While both are very good, 'Bama's is great and if LSU can't run, Jefferson is not going to beat you. Look at how LSU looked offensively against the other great D they played this year....Florida. Inept on offense would be putting it kindly.
My teaser of the weekend.
