Books recovered last week from the bloodbath of two weeks ago, having good days on both Saturday and Sunday, with a lot of sharp and public sides losing in college and the NFL.
The sharp money favored Green Bay in the big showdown with Minnesota and Brett Farve, and lost on that one, as well as on the Giants, and surprisingly, Cleveland. The books took a hit though with Carolina beating Arizona outright, a result that well-known SBR poster shantystar knew was coming.
In college, the sharp money once again faded Iowa, and once again, came up short. Georgia and Florida St. were two other sharp-favored sides that lost, while Georgia Tech was a sharp-action winner.
A bunch of sides in college and the NFL have seen early sharp action at BookMaker, led by Boise St in college and in the NFL, once again, the Giants, a team that has attracted a lot of sharp money over the past several week and lost.
The Monday Night betting action is sizing up to be a typical scenario. The public and some sharp money bet the line consistently up throughout the week, moving it well across the 10. On Monday though, sharp money has begun to come in on Atlanta getting a lot of points, and more is expected, while the public continues to favor favorite New Orleans even at the inflated line. The game will be a good one for the books unless they get badly middled with a New Orleans win by 10.
