1. Fresno St. +16.5 at Cincy - A lot of this stems from the fact that I think Boise is VERY good, so that game last week didn't scare me off the Bulldogs. I think Cincy is a good team, but I'm shocked anyone in the Big East is giving up 2 TD's plus to a Pat Hill team. Matthews and the running game will keep this one close and I think 27-14 is a realistic final here.
2. Michigan State +3.5 (bought the hook) at Wisconsin - Finally get into Big 10 season which is where I made my money last year in CFB. I am going to be betting against Wisconisn early and often this year, they are already 1-2 ATS this season. I know many are reluctant to go against the Badgers as they are 33-3 in their last 36 at Camp Randal. However, this is not Barry Alvarez' Badgers. QB and passing game is mediocre at best, and while MSU was gashed thru the air by CMU and ND the last 2 weeks, their 4-3 and personnel is much better vs. a run oriented team. Sometimes in comes down to matchups, and MSU's run defense and MSU pass offense are just good matchups vs. Wisconsin.
The Badgers do have revenge on their mind after the comeback, last second victory in East Lansing last year, but after losing 2 straight nail-biters, this is a must win for the Spartans. MSU has settled on a QB (Kirk Cousins)who threw for over 300 yards vs. ND last week, and a RB in true freshmen Larry Caper. WR Mark Dell played in his first game of the year last week, and went over 100 yards receiving. It will be a slugfest, between two very physcial football teams, but I expect MSU to score early and often, and will be playing some on the moneyline and a bigger play on the 3.5.
3. NCarolina +3 at GTech - Butch Davis is getting in athletes. We have seen what athletic defenses have done to GTech in their last 2 games vs. LSU (bowl) and "The U" last week. I like UNC to win this game outright.
BOL to all this weekend.
