I like Ole miss -3.5 for obvious reasons, I think they should win pretty easily with their talent. I bought it down to 3 and hopped on it early, the line will most likely move.

Yeah that seems a little low, but i haven't seen Ole Miss play yet this year, so not totally sure if I want to take Ole Miss or not.

Ole Miss talent is not that greater than South Carolina.
South Carolina could very well pull this upset.

At first glance I wanted to jump on, also. I just dont like betting against a home dog, especially in a big game like this one. I should say that I don't think it's a bad bet by any means.

Ole Miss have a better QB, but when you speak about overall talent it's not a BIG DIFFERENCE.

At first glance this seems like a gift BUT USC's defense is fairly good and their offense is getting better by the week. I'd lean Ole Miss because of Snead but USC is more battle tested at the moment. Very small bet either way.

I haven't capped the game yet but Ole Miss is definitey the better team. That being said, when I take everything in I have a feeling I am going to find myself backing the Gamecocks.

Gamecocks went to Ole Miss and upset the Rebels last year...So, the Rebs will roll into Columbia with a chip on the their shoulders for sure.
If Ole Miss really is a top 10 team, they should have no trouble with the Gamecocks. But I'm not convinced they are a top ten team. They were not impressive against Memphis in the first game of the season. Didn't put them away unitl late. And they haven't really played any competiton.
South Carolina has played better competition. If not for some poor special teams play, woulda, coulda, shouda beat Georgia in Athens.
If Garcia doesn't thow the untimely pick, USC will be in the game late in the fourth quarter. There is a reason the line has moved from -3.5 to -3.
Now, all that having been said, I'm a life-long Gamecock fan. So, take this with a grain of salt!!!! LOL

South Carolina is the Michigan State of the SEC. A flakey team that you never know what you are going to get each week. Ole Miss should win this game, but it's one of those stupid Thursday games...so who knows. I'll probably be on Ole Miss, but light.

Not sold either way. Ole Miss should win, but Spurrier always has tricks up his sleve and might pull off the upset.

Agreed that Ole Miss is not a top 10 team, but I think they are top 25. I only saw South Carolina against NC State and offensively they looked horrid, though defensively they were rock solid. However, this isn't NC State's offense so I like Ole Miss to cover the spread easy. No upset for the Old Ball Coach this week.

#4 on the road against unranked team getting just 2 pts. Doesn't seam like a good line to me I'm staying away. Yes Ole Miss has not played anybody so there is that unknown factor. Making a play on the total makes more sense.

I think that Ole Miss is a good team but untested this year. They needed to rally in the second half to beat Memphis. Southeast Louisiana was a cupcake.
Whereas South Carolina beat NC State and only lost to Georgia 37-41
Ole Miss may win by only a field goal. Remember that South Carolina won last year at Ole Miss.
I'm buying points and taking the scrappy home game COCKS!
South Carolina has a good defense, and Stephen Garcia is dangerous moving around in the pocket making things happen...i think this is a no play, or a play on the TOTAL

South Carolina wont stop Sneed ?? This is the SEC any QB can be stopped on any given day. If you have those types of thoughts for betting this game than you might be mad come Thursday night. South Carolina has a fast front 4 and if they can get to Sneed he will make mistakes. Hell he threw 2 interceptions against Memphis. Don't over hype Sneed.

Look at the past 4 years recruiting rank for both schools. 2009 it was SC 12 Ole Miss 18 (rank). 2008 SC 22, Ole Miss not ranked. 2007 SC 6, Ole Miss not ranked. 2006 Ole Miss 16, SC 24.
So South Carolina has had better recruiting by far. The difference is that Snead is 100 times better than Garcia.
