1. The ACC is pretty bad. Georgia Tech, Miami, UNC, Boston College are undefeated...but none have looked particullarly impressive against a team with a pulse. Virginia Tech may still be the best team in the league and NC State and FSU can heat up...but overall this conference as a whole looks about as mediocre as mediocre can be.
2. Letdown and Look Ahead city. The past two weeks have already shown what letdown and look ahead (or "trap" games) can do to a team straight up and ATS. Tennessee and Oklahoma State laid a big egg and Ohio State barely escaped Navy last week...just to name a few.
3. The Big 10 saved face this week. Even in losing, Ohio State and Purdue looked respectable. Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin won big games. Yeah, Michigan State lost...but the conference won games it should have won and kept games against west coast teams respectable.
4. Florida's schedule is looking weaker each week. It's not their fault...but Tennessee didn't look anything like it did week 1, Mississippi State and Florida State looked awful, and the team people think has the best chance to beat them, LSU, struggled to put away Vanderbilt. Who knows what we have in South Carolina and Georgia, but it probably isn't enough to have a punchers chance against UF. The two teams that could cause problems are the two that did last season...Bama and Ole Miss...and Florida won't see them until the SECCG.
5. Washington State and Virginia are two of the worst BCS teams I've ever seen. Maryland hasn't done themselves any favors either.
