    illinois -6.5
dont see too many people talking about it....im really hoping it goes down another half point to 6

i may be really underestimating missou here....and i know blaine gabbert was a blue chip talent(im assuming hes got the starting job?)....but there is no daniel, no maclin, and no chase coffman here

illinois was a major disappointment last year...i live in RI...but illinois was on espn alot...and i watched them alot...as they were a team i was really looking to ride(much like i did with utah the last two years)....but this is juice's sr year..and definitley benns last year there...not to mention they have a big/hard running soph. back in jason ford that compliments the sr, dufrene...and a couple other upper classmen skill guys at WR and TE(this kid is a big somoan who ive seen and can move)....

not really too sure about the defenses here...i know mizzou has weatherspoon...who is a beast....illinois has a kid by the name of martez wilson who isnt far behind....

i think illinois just has too much experience on offense...and i cant see juice letting his sr. season go to waste....i

On paper, I don't think Mizzou has a chance in this game. Illinois is more way experienced on offense, but you have to take in to consideration the fact that Mizzou always wins this game. Kinda liek when they play basketball, Mizzou has had the better team in the past, but the Illini always win. I'm not betting the side, but I like the under here. Mizzou's offense will be unproven, and I have to think that Mizzou's coaching staff is more focussed on defense after last years pathetic performances against good teams.

heenan...you still alive?? you and gorilla monsoon rocked!

i'm a huge mizzou fan and would love nothing more for them to start the post-daniel era with a win against a good team, but I just don't see it happening...too many question marks for this team...a lot of nfl talent gone, oc gone, dc gone (though defense surely was not something to be proud of last year)...

regardless of the outcome, i'll be wandering around downtown st. louis on saturday, drunk of my arse!

WE ARE GOING TO ROLL. talked to my boy today bout my tixs and he said practcies have been geat and guys are PUMPED to avenge that debacle of last year. our o is gonna be NASTY this year and scoring shouldnt be a problem w juice/benn/cumberland/uh-oh and fayson on returns, while the D has been in question its apparently been surpirsingly good so if thats the case watch ut

i hope the line drops another .5 too, today dropped that .5 cause dufrene is now questionable cause his ankle is sprained pretyt bad but he SHOULD most liekly be in there i hear, but even if not, then ford/leshore and def get the job done.

-6 would be nice but dont think we'll need it ILLINI ARE GONNA ROLL BABY

I'm on Illinois too...I agree that Mizzou's inexperienced offense probably will not be able to go "score for score" in the first game of the year. But Mizzou is suppose to have one the best O-lines in the Big 12..so this isn't going to be a cake walk for the Illini.

I hear the front 4 on Illinois defense has high hopes for a dominant season. This first game will be good test to see how good that D-line really can be..If the D-Line is as good as people think..I could be riding Illinois all year! Go Juice!
