Rocky Long resigns at SDSU... looking at DC jobs

a bit odd. timing not the best....

apparently, he didn't see eye-to-eye with the university administration.

looking at syracuse DC job.... san diego to syracuse. wonder if he's mentioned it to wife yet. (i used to live near syracuse and i liked it, but it ain't san diego)

i'm thinking he should just sign as special advisor somewhere and get in the 2021 employment search cycle.

seems like he'd be good HC hire for many western USA teams.

i don't see any suggestion of rocky wanting a lesser role (i.e. just being DC. no other responsibilities)

Big loss for SDSU. Long is a no nonsense tough SOB and a heck of a coach. Hoke is not a bad replacement though, he has had success at SDSU in the past.

i'd think rocky would be good special advisor at USC or UCLA for a couple of years..... he seems just what they each need more of
