    College Football Bowl Game Pool
I am entering a pool where I have to pick the winners of each bowl game no spreads. I have to assign point values to each game (1-32). Say if I am most confident that Ohio State will beat Florida I would place a 32 point value on it. On the next most confident game I would assign that 31 points. And 1 point on the game that I have no clue etc. I can't use the same number twice. I would appreciate your opinions on games that you think you have the winner for or games that are toss ups.

    Would appreciate your thoughts?

I have a pool like this too. But we use spreads. I always rate the BCS bowls as the lowest number, because they are the tougher matchups. I try to find the lesser matchups and put the higher numbers there.

I guess it would be different with out the spread, but I think I would still rate the BCS bowls with the lowest numbers.

Theres alot of different stradigies you can use in a contest like this. Alot of people I know use onlooker's method, and I can't disagree with that one either. Over the years we have seen alot of dogs win these bowl games out right. However, the new years day games and beyond it seems like the chalk cashes in at a much higher rate.

I still have to cap these bowl games, but get back to me next week bro and i'll help you out with them.

I'm in a similar pool w/o point spreads. Going with LSU first (32) and Ohio State second (31). Just feel very confident both will win outright. OU is another high selection, along with Louisville.

never done a pool like this before...will have to think about this a little...I'd pick some of the double digit dogs as your big games...I mean what the hell right?...anything can happen in bowl season...

I'm not a contest type of guy at all myself.

Anyways, I was talking to somebody the other day up at the pool hall, and you should see the pool he's getting into. It's a point system based on ATS. Heres the twist though, you have to predict how many points a team will win by, and if you hit it correctly you get 3x's your points for hitting the "noser"

It is a lot of fun. However, picking double digit dogs for my big games wouldn't give me any extra points, but that would be sweet.

I do disagree with your Miami FL, South Florida, and Nebraska being that high ranked bud.

I personally fell that you should have made some of your lower point games a bit higher than that. SJ st., Iowa, and Oregon just to name a few.

                        Dan,

Do you like Nevada, ECU, or Auburn to win?

And, you would give Iowa an average point value? That is a lot of confidence in them to win, but I would just like to know if I am understanding you correctly.

Lastly, what games could I give a higher value to pre-January 1st?

You too **, very different views on Hawaii/ASU, Utah/Tulsa, and UCLA/FSU. Hopefully we can both do well.

Basically I am banking on pulling away early. I will probably win by a big margin if I win.
