NORTHERN ILLLINOIS (-11 ½) 35 Toledo 17
Northern Illinois is just 2-6 ATS this season, but they actually qualify in a solid 445- 293-15 ATS contrary indicator that is based on their bad spread record. Despite their bad spread record, Northern Illinois doesn’t seem to be overrated as my math model favors the Huskies by 14 points in this game. I certainly don’t mind fading a Toledo team that has played much better at home (20-8 ATS) under coach Amstutz than they have on the road (11-21-3 ATS). I’ll consider Northern Illinois a Strong Opinion at -13 points or less.
