So, what's the consensus on FSU/Miami-FLA tonight?
I can't get a feel for this game at all. There seems to be many variables at play with this one from my perspective. Anyone have any opinions they want to share? I have a slight lean to the OVER tonight. If I had to play it, I think I'd still lay the points and take the 'Canes. Thoughts?

Don't these 2 teams play defensive battles? ... I'll take FSU with the 3.5 and also the ML +140.

Miami had a ton of problems in the offseason, with coaching changes that appeared to be forced upon Coker. I like FSU plus the points.

EBone - I would wait to see if you can get -3 if you go the favorite route, so that hook dont kill you if it comes into play here. It might considering these two play great defensive games.

I think the value is with Florida State here. Yes Im a FSU fan, but with Mickey Andrews still running that defense, you know the defense will keep FSU in the game if they cant jump all over Miami. I think FSU wins it in a close battle, 24-20.

I have FSU +3.5 myself but only for one unit because its hard to know how Miami will respond to offseason changes.

the consensus numbers are as follows:

Florida St vs Miami Fl (ESPN)
            Miami Fl 40.94%
            Florida St 59.06%
            15348 Bets
even though the canes have players out due to the suspensions, I still feel they have enough talent to win this game out right.

Amazing performance by the FSU defense tonight.

Biggest possession was late 2nd quarter down 10-3 and Weatherford just got picked. Miami returned the ball to the 12-yard-line, but a hold on the return pushed them back to the 30. Next play, the tight end had to hold on a blind-side blitz to send them out of FG range. Is Miami goes up even 13-3 there, I don't think FSU wins this.

You can never count out that FSU defense. They kept them in this one big time. FSU's offense was doing nothing, and the defense kept it close enough for them to win.

I had the score wrong, but the same out come. A win for Florida State.

I agree. That was a terrific game and hard hitting game. I always prefer defensive struggles where the offenses really have to work to score points as opposed to 34-30 type of games.

Man did I love when FSU hit the hell out of Kyle Wright down on the 3 yard line that saved a touchdown that could of put the game out of reach for FSU. Popped the helmet off, that was great.

This game really surprised me. I didn't have time to do a full-blown analysis, but I really thought Miami was the right side, especially with the massive turnover in starters by FSU. When was the last time these 2 teams scored more than 35 points in a game against each other?
