Hello all! Been Lurking here for a few days lately...found the site on a google search and Like what I see...Im a long time poster at another site and decided I will post here also,I like the input from others and discussion pro and con to picks. My Units are 2 for a average action play and 5 is My strongest. As you can see I let lose 7 units on the Miss play which is RARE for me to do but Im up 20 units on the Bowls and will let'r Fly! Here is my first post here GL to all.
BOWLS 16-7 69% +20.2 Units
Total Meltdown with My Cincinnati Pick…I Even posted Beamer Had his team sharp and ready and still went the other Direction, Dumb on my part! I’m Determined to make amends today!
Ole Miss+4(7 units) Biggest Bowl wager yet..A big One yes but I like this a lot and with the Public ALL OVER Tech at a 80% clip but yet The Line is dropping anyway because of the smart Money tapping it…Im not a public vs. sharp player but It is better to run with the Sharps then with Joe 6 pack capping the game out of the Local News. I definitely give it some weight for this bet....Houston Nutt…This guy can get water out of stones with his teams! Coach Houston Nutt called the focus at practice "outstanding." Hey This Guy Beat Florida in the Swamp! Yes the Rebels have played well in big games, beating Florida in the Swamp and losing to Alabama by just four points in Tuscaloosa.
It will a Pleasure to see how Texas Tech's high-powered offense fares against a quality SEC defense! I think They will frustrate that offense, Like Beamer Last Night The Coach has His team Focused and Ready For War! Tech has not led by more than seven points in their last two games -- losing 65-21 to No. 1 Oklahoma and having to come back from 14 points to win 35-28 over Baylor in the season finale…The Lay off will work against the timing of this offense Today….
Players to Note:
QB Jevan Snead -- The sophomore transfer from Texas might be the biggest reason for the Rebels' offensive turnaround. He ranks third in the SEC with 206 passing yards per game, and has thrown 23 touchdowns against 12 interceptions. Snead excels at buying time to throw downfield, and he's done a much better job lately of avoiding interceptions.
DT Peria Jerry -- The senior won SEC defensive honors four times. He leads the SEC in tackles for losses with 17 and is tied for fifth in the SEC with six sacks. He's the captain and unquestioned leader of a unit that allows just 85 rushing yards per game.
The Rebels give up just 85 rushing yards per game and 2.6 yards per carry. This unit ranks fourth in the SEC, giving up 17.8 points per game, and is the most improved defense in the conference. It all starts with DT Peria Jerry, who has won SEC defensive honors four times this year. S Jamarca Sanford leads an underrated secondary.
--WR Mike Crabtree left just before halftime in the win over Baylor on Nov. 29. He apparently sprained his right ankle on a pass to set up a Tech touchdown near the 1-yard line. Crabtree has been in a medical boot since but is expected to be ready for the bowl game.
--QB Graham Harrell had surgery on his left non-throwing hand Nov. 30 following Tech's 35-28 win over Baylor the day before. He had 17 pins and two plates placed in his hand to repair nine fractures in his left ring and pinkie fingers. Tech officials said there should be no delay in Harrell's routine and he would have been ready for the Big 12 championship game if Tech would have played in it.
Ole Miss:
16-5 ATS after 1st month of season
5-1 ATS in bowl games
Texas Tech:
0-6 ATS Away off home conference win
6-0 Over off conference win
