Coker also has high hopes for freshman Richard Gordon (6-4, 260), a 2005 signee who spent last season in prep school and enrolled at Miami in January. The former Miami prep product was a track star who combines great size and 4.6 speed in the 40. At Milford Prep, he returned kickoffs, including touchdowns of 99 and 89 yards.

"Richard is an extremely versatile, talented athlete who can play almost any position on the field," Coker said.

For right now, Gordon will slide into the tight end rotation, giving the Hurricanes a lot of talent at that spot.
