Let me know what you think.
Northern Illinois +10 (-110) vs Ball St.
To be honest I did't know a whole lot about either team until I read dbldown's post. I looked into it a bit further and found their Defense is very formidable. Here are their three losses this year. 1) 27-31 at Minnesota (7-2). 2)26-29 at W.Michigan (7-2). 3)9-13 at Tennessee (3-6) After their 0-2 start these are their points given up: 3, 0, 9, 13, 7, 13 while going 5-1. I wouldn't be suprised it NIU won outright and I think 10 pts is way to much here.
Nebraska -1 vs Kansas
I think people think of last years 11-1 Kansas squad instead of the results this year. The have only played three road games this year....1) Loss 34-37 at South Florida, 2) Win 35-33 at Iowa St (worst team in Big XII), 3) 31-45 at Oklahoma. Neb does have four losses as well but look at who they lost to. Virginia Tech, #14 Missouri, #2 Texas Tech (in OT), #6 Oklahoma, all solid teams. Lincoln Memorial is a tough place to win. I'll take the Huskers at home in this one.
Florida St. -5.5 vs Clemson
This is a classic case of Clemson just isn't that good. They did go on the road to beat Boston College last week but I think it was an abboration. Believe it or not Florida St has been flying under the radar this year. They are a solid 6-2 and coming off a close loss at Georgia Tech. I look for Florida St. to score early and often.
Southern Cal -21 vs Cal
Cal is another team that just isn't that good on the road. They are 1-2 with their lone win being at Washington St (Worst team in NCAA). They lost by 8 at Maryland and lost by 15 at Arizona. Then factor in Pete Carroll's verbal assault of the BCS system and I'm pretty sure USC will run it up bad on Cal just to make a statement. I think Trojans win by at least 30.
