    SoonerGreg's Picks Nov5 thru Nov8
Let me know what you think.

Northern Illinois +10 (-110) vs Ball St.
To be honest I did't know a whole lot about either team until I read dbldown's post. I looked into it a bit further and found their Defense is very formidable. Here are their three losses this year. 1) 27-31 at Minnesota (7-2). 2)26-29 at W.Michigan (7-2). 3)9-13 at Tennessee (3-6) After their 0-2 start these are their points given up: 3, 0, 9, 13, 7, 13 while going 5-1. I wouldn't be suprised it NIU won outright and I think 10 pts is way to much here.

    Nebraska -1 vs Kansas
I think people think of last years 11-1 Kansas squad instead of the results this year. The have only played three road games this year....1) Loss 34-37 at South Florida, 2) Win 35-33 at Iowa St (worst team in Big XII), 3) 31-45 at Oklahoma. Neb does have four losses as well but look at who they lost to. Virginia Tech, #14 Missouri, #2 Texas Tech (in OT), #6 Oklahoma, all solid teams. Lincoln Memorial is a tough place to win. I'll take the Huskers at home in this one.

    Florida St. -5.5 vs Clemson
This is a classic case of Clemson just isn't that good. They did go on the road to beat Boston College last week but I think it was an abboration. Believe it or not Florida St has been flying under the radar this year. They are a solid 6-2 and coming off a close loss at Georgia Tech. I look for Florida St. to score early and often.

    Southern Cal -21 vs Cal
Cal is another team that just isn't that good on the road. They are 1-2 with their lone win being at Washington St (Worst team in NCAA). They lost by 8 at Maryland and lost by 15 at Arizona. Then factor in Pete Carroll's verbal assault of the BCS system and I'm pretty sure USC will run it up bad on Cal just to make a statement. I think Trojans win by at least 30.

Well, I'm off to an 0-1 start but looking to finish 3-1.

I think so too. Maryland isn't exactly setting the world on fire offensively. They are averaging 17 pt in their last 4 games whereas FSU is averaging 31 and three of their last four games have been on the road.

Adding Missouri -27 vs Kansas St

There are several reason that I like Missouri in this spot. 1st is the fact they are play a night game at home. Give fans all day to get drunk before a game and the atmosphere is electric. I also love the fact that it is senior night for Chase Daniels. Mizzou will be fired up. Then factor in Ron Prince announced his resignation at K-State and the fact they have no defense and Missouri should win in the 55-10 range. This is the points against for K-State this season. 6 vs North Texas, 10 vs Montana St., 38 vs Louisville, 37 vs Louisiana-Lafayette, 58 vs Texas Tech, 30 vs Texas A&M, 14 vs Colorado, 58 vs Oklahoma, and 52 vs Kansas.

Nebraska pick looks solid but I'm staying away. The Kansas run game is scary. I'm on Florida St. with you but don't much like USC here although I understand your reasoning. I was contemplating playing Cal early on even though they are bit beat up but decided against it because of all the BCS sparring going on this week. Good points there on the Mizz game-I hope you cash. GL!

Adding Nevada -2.5 vs Fresno St
This game could end up being like my NIU pick as I have not seen either team play. After looking into it, statistics reveal Nevada is a top 5 rushing team and Fresno is awefull against the run. I read several different post stating that Fresno's starting RB is out. I decided this was worth putting a bet down for one unit.

                      Adding Baylor +28 vs Texas
I'm adding this game at the last minute. I just found out Texas DE Orakapo is out. Texas is emotionally drained after seeing their national title dreams go down in flames against T-Tech.

                          GL!

I'm thinking of jumping on USC, though I think it is 21.5ish now. I have the 1Q -6.5 already.

                            Lax,
Sorry the Trojans didn't work out. Thought it was a solid play at home. At least I had a winning record of 4-3. I actually played Boston College too but am not counting it b/c I didn't post it before kickoff. Good Saturday!
