I will no longer step into the Rivers Casino (near chicago il) ever again.
First off I won $150 so this isnt a bitter rant about how the casino stole my money and how the dealers cheated while forcing me to double my bet until i lost the deed to my house
This casino simply slaps people in the face when it comes to giving out comps. As of Jan 1st, Rivers changed their comp formula. In the past comps were based on buy in + time played + amount wagered per hand + game played (whether it be slots, table games etc...) and finally the pit bosses discretion. If you were a regular, played for a few hours and a polite customer, receiving a comp to the buffet was pretty standard.
But as of Jan 1st new management came in and changed comp system. For Baccarat players (like myself) the new formula was $25 a hand for at least 60 minutes got you a noodle bar comp - and thats it. So after my first visit during the first week of January I played $20 for 2.5-3 hours, asked for a comp and got denied saying i had to play a minimum of $25 a hand. Fine.
So today I played at the $25 min table, played 1 hour 45 minutes, won some money (yay!!) asked for a comp and got denied. I was appalled and asked why I was denied a comp. Pit boss tried to blow me off and say "new comp rules" So when i quoted him the $25 for 60 min of play for noodle bar, his response was " Oh yeah thats correct, well regardless you still have to play for a few more hours to receive a comp" a few more hours? for a $9 comp?
So the casino changed the comp requirements, which they have the right to do, I fulfilled the requirement and still refused to give out a $9 comp. Yes the casino can do whatever they want and it their rules, but why do they even have a comp system if they are not going to honor it? Whats the point?
Aside from not going back there whats the best way to get back at casino?
