Agree with this. I see is more in actual MMA forums rather than just the better forums. But it is as if many think it is a video game. Perhaps they accidentally power downed their playstations. But it is a very decent fight on 4 weeks notice. 2-3 weeks of actual training for it when normal camps are 6-10 weeks.
Silva wasn't going to fight at 185 on this short notice. That leaves LHWs, who do you think stepped up to fight Anderson Silva in Brazil on less than a months notice? I bet Rashad didn't. Shogun didn't. Hendo is hurt. Ramoage is hurt.
Bonnar would beat Forrest right now. A couple slobberknockers from 7 years ago aren't really relevant. Bonnar is much more athletic and aggressive. Forrest tries to box everyone from the outside ala Bisping. And fact is he is just way too slow and clumsy.
This is decent fight for what was out there. They weren't going to try and blow the doors off with a replacement fight for a Brazil card on a months notice.

It is a decent card for what some other recent cards have looked like. Couple one-sided fights but big names and exciting fighters. Decent card to bet also, in my opinion. But that is usually true for all Brazilian cards.

I'm not trying to say Bonnar is a worldbeater. But we should all agree that he is a big 205er. Who has a legit blackbelt. And durable.
Would GSP save a card to fight a big 185er with a blackbelt? Like Palhares?
Would Jones move up to fight Frank Mir on short notice? Roy Nelson or Werdum would be better example if we are using durable too.

I'm well aware of what it's like to be rocked. You can't expect everyone to react the same to being hit in the head, though. There's a lot of variables when it comes to reaction. How you can say Fujita didn't rock Fedor is beyond me. I -strongly- disagree with you, especially about that. You're entitled to your opinion as to what defines being "rocked", but I would have thought we could all agree Fedor was rocked in that .gif. As for Henderson having no choice but to go for takedowns, that is earlier in the fight. What I'm referring to happened later on, when he looked as if he slipped, then tried to grab Anderson's legs.I think you missed the point or you just don't know what it's like to be in a fight, when someone is rocked they aren't fully conscious, their eyes float to the back of the head and your legs turn rubber.This is getting rocked

I talked to Bisping on Wednesday and he's not thrilled about the UFC trying to match up GSP/Silva. With a win against Stann, he definitely deserves a title shot. He's the only fighter in UFC history with 12 wins to never receive a shot.
Said he always pulls for GSP, but he'll be pulling hard for Condit given the circumstances. Bisping gets a bad rap from American fans, but he's actually a pretty down to earth guy.
He also puts the blame for 151 being cancelled squarely on Hendo's shoulders...interesting perspective.Comment -
