I don't care about seeing Rampage but I am pissed Aldo-Edgar getting cancelled. The UFC need to buy Aldo a fuking driver so that he will stay off motorcycles.

I was going to bet Glover huge, only reason I'm mad about this fight not happening. Rampage has one foot out the door and seems to have little to no motivation to fight anymore. Guy has not evolved from 2005 and expects to get paid Mayweather money.

The Aldo/Edgar fight not happening robs fans of a great fight. I was looking forward to that fight.

Definitely. Although, they could do Mendes v Edgar, or even KZ v Edgar - would both be fairly interesting. Probably Mendes v Edgar would be a closer fight out of the two.

Has Mendes' legal issue been resolved? Last I heard he was still wanted for questioning for battery charges.

This is horrible news. Gotta guess he wasn't making any money. It's a real shame I think he is a real talent, hopefully he will reconsider.

USA TODAY Sports has confirmed with company officials that Anderson Silva is moving up to 205 pounds to meet Bonnar in the three-round main event of October's UFC 153 event.

Additionally, Brazilian slugger Glover Teixeira meets countryman Fabio Maldonado in the evening's co-main event.

And in a bout first reported by Brazilian outlet Tatame, former interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira faces Dave Herman.

Maldonado vs Texiera is an utterly ridiculous fight. Glover probably has an edge, but it's ultra-competitive. I'll have to look into that one some more.

Maldanado's weakness has always been his ground game, his stand up is top notch and he has plenty of power to match Glover not to mention a great chin. I think it will most likely end up Glover Teixera by Decision or submission.

Who else is extremely happy that we will have full UFC 152 lines in 2 or 3 days? It's been a while...unless you count shitty KSW event lines and things like that...

ha quick change. Guess it makes sense as Attonito has only jus gone down to WW so probably has to cut a lot of weight. Last time Damarques stepped in on short notice I think it was against Sadollah when he gassed out in second round after winning first and got dominated

@benfowlkesMMA Robert Sapp vs @dannyboydownes. PRIDE rules, New Years Eve, some bar in Chicago. Who ya got?

My gut tells me that Danny Downes has the advantage in any bar fight in Chicago, if only because he has probably spent enough time in many of them to know the lay of the land pretty well. My brain tells me that Bob Sapp will probably have Bulgarian MMA fights or B-movie roles or Japanese game show appearances booked within two days on either side of this New Year's Eve superfight, so he's not going to want to risk injury or, you know, train. My prediction? Downes wins very first round submission after Sapp charges in, pulls bottom position in mount, then taps out as soon as he realizes that he is laying on top of a peanut shell.
