I believe Alvarado is the better boxer if he uses his boxing skills
And abilities he should take care of Rios BY UD
he's allot older but I think he will land the cleaner shots thru the exchanges
And really slows down rios...

alvarado is pretty raw, he was taking a lot of damage from Prescott and Prescott is just a pretty basic puncher himself.

Now Rios isn't a master boxer or anything, but he had a long amatuer career, was a u.s olympic alternate and on paper...should have the better skills set.

Imo it's a bet on Rios or no bet at all unless Alavarado is a big dog, but honestly im probably gonna stay away from this fight cause i don't have a strong lean either way. Good luck though dude.

RIos's big advantage though was he was the bigger man. He'd come in the high 140's and 150+ against Anthony Peterson. He's been draining himself to make 135 for a while and now he's moving up to face an opponent who's not that small. Also, Rios is a brawler.... he's not a master boxer like you said. He'll be coming forward and trying to pressure Alvarado.... this'll be a toe-to-toe showdown
I'm interested to see how he'll handle an opponent who's just as big and giving off just as much pressure.

To Prescott's credit though.... he hit's hard

Herrera did a decent job of it in the 1st round of their fight but then started slugging it out and fighting on the inside with Mike which he shouldn't have done. My guess is Rios will be a favorite.... not too heavy... maybe about -300 or more.
I'm always worried about the cards though if it should come to it.
