    MMAspeculator's MMA Picks
I decided to migrate my picks over to this forum from my private forum made for friends.

    2011 Record: +93.18 units
    2012 Record: +4.84 units

I utilize a lot of parlays to offset the juice. I feel MMA is a different animal than the other sports and parlays are particularly good for it. With just having to worry about the statistics of 2 fighters, the potential hiccups are not as high. A clear cut skilled fighter will beat the lesser fighter most of the time. Therefore, parlays are less volatile than team sports such as Basketball and Hockey.

I've been doing well in 2012 aside from getting too confident and losing a bunch on the UFC Japan card. I've learned my lesson from that card and will keep a straight head for the remainder of the year.

    Cheers

      Parlays don't offset juice.

Thomson is injured so it looks like it'll be a straight play on Lawrence. Congrats on your winnings

... not that the parlay would've lost otherwise. It's a nice one if Thomson was healthy. Gil/Justin is a solid 2 person parlay.

News just broke on twitter. Blown PCL.

No official SF statement yet or replacement but the friggin championship fight is booked for 9 days from now. Who the hell can take a 25 minute fight versus freaking Gilbert Melendez on 9 days notice? Yeesh... Either the fight's cancelled or some desperate "name" veteran will be brought in to save face for Showtime/SF.

                      Lol, you're right.
I guess a better way to say it is I see both fighters in a 2 fight parlay having 85%+ of winning each. The % of them both winning is around 72%+. The parlay pays -167 so the play is justified

                            Update:

                            Lawrence/Melendez 2 units for 1.26

                            2012 Record: +2.84 units

Well that was a frustrating fight to watch. That's the last TUF bet I'm ever going to make.. can't predict these guys with too many holes in their game. Lots of good bets to be made in the upcoming events though so I'm confident I can turn a good profit by the end of summer.
