Ha, not sure I'm interested in a rematch... but I am one of the few that enjoyed the first one. Condit's style proved to frustrate and confuse the hell out of Nick and I don't see why he can't do it again. Hell, I think I'd unload on Condit if he's only a slight fav the second time around.

                Agreed big time.

Not because he can't out strike Condit. But he can't risk getting out-pointed again like that.

I'm not sure how his wrestling really stacks up. But he needs to get it to the ground early. If he can, I have no doubt he sub's his ass.

I'm all for the rematch, but I am a Diaz fan. But we have seen rematches a million times lately. Do people really want Condit to sit until November or December? Condit backers can like it or not, but that was a close ass fight. And was given to a guy who played the points game. Other than the crappy MMA judges, half, probably more than half of the MMA community thought Diaz won the fight.

Diaz isn't the best at in game changes. He kind of does what he does. But I think another camp worth and he will change it up and realize he needs to mix it up. He will be looking for the finish for sure. And if he gets a finish we all will know who the better fighter is.

I can't get as pumped as I was for the first one. Because it really could turn out crappy again. But I am glad it is happening.

Based on the postfight conference, I kinda wanted to see that too... but yes, UFC seems determined to get that Diaz vs Condit fight booked, as it'll be a nice moneymaker for them.

Id love to see a rematch. Why not? I certainly dont want one of the most exciting fighters to retire. Nick would have to fight smarter though which is a longshot.

So if Condit loses they do gsp/diaz and Condit's win is worth nothing? They better break him off some chedder for this.

Hopefully its a more exciting fight than the first with the controversy over Condit's gameplan.

If Diaz subs or finishes him in any fashion this time, Condit's little point match shouldn't mean anything.

Diaz wasn't even on the medical report.

That fight was all how you score fights. If you favor point fight and weak kicks then Condit won. If you favor aggression and moving forward, along with punching combo's, Diaz won.

Rampage beat Machida by basically just coming forward. He landed a lot less than Diaz did this fight. He won by coming forward.

If Condit wants to play the point fighting game, which he should, because that is the only way he can really win...then Diaz will have to change up his gameplan. Because quite frankly, you can't try to box a guy who is running to the other side of the cage half of the fight. He will need to incorporate his ground game earlier.

I think he believed it was at least 2-2 fight going into the 5th. He took Condit down and controlled his back for a while. Which should have been enough to win that fight.

It was a close fight to score. I am all for a rematch. I just hope we get more action this time around.

Anybody know how long the suspension would be for that?

                                        edit:
googling is looking like 3 - 6 months in the past. But I wonder if Nick's high profile status will increase it.

Maybe it's just posturing by his manager Hannibal Lector but why else would Diaz Puff-Puff-Pass on the rematch?

If it isn't weed then its gotta be posturing. It is a winnable fight compared to a matchup with Kos, Ellenberger, Hendricks, or one of the other grappler types.
