The Janitor vs The Mauler, UFC 141
I'm starting to like Matyushenko at the +230 I'm getting... I think he's got a decent chance of ending Gustaffson's winning streak. If the lines were closer, I probably wouldn't touch it, but I'm liking The Janitor as a big dog. Thoughts???

I would say highly unlikely but after last night clearly anything is possible!

No play for me. I like Gustafson to win.

Diabate and Te Huna were able to take Gustaffson down.
But standing this is a complete mismatch

This is how I feel also. I think Gustaffson should be -450 to -500 here. But... Hominick's 7 second KO humbled my opinions.

I will go on record to say NOW that Gustaffson is top 5 (and soon will be top 3) in the LHW. Feel free to fade and flame. However, I think he will blast through everybody until he fights Jones. His raw skills, co-ordination, killer instinct and speed are off the charts.

Gustafsson all day long here.. his size and reach are going to give the Janitor major problems. He's on his way up and I like him in this spot up to -350. Don't let the Hominick loss sway your opinion in this one. I'm down about that too, but you have to move on.

Vlad might come out thinking he's an elite striker now as well after his recent success standing against Brilz!

I had a play play on Gustaffson against Hammil, but he didn't look that impressive in his KO victory. If Matt had some power behind his punches, Gustaffson coulda gone down.

Really? I thought he totally destroyed him.

Maybe I was extra nervous because I had so much money riding on him?

I remember Hammil doing ok in the beginning of the round, which surprised me. I remember being afraid Gustaffson might go down a couple times in the beginning there. But again, that might have been extra nerves.

for the first time ever, i'll agree with gabe.

i had a big play on gustafsson, and i was a bit worried after the first round.

It's funny you say that. Any time I have cake riding on a fighter -- I definitely am ON EDGE with every little possible danger.

I had an "oh shit" moment when Tito came out swinging against Rogerio and connected once or twice. Obviously didn't take long for that feeling to go away though

I agree with gabe. He felt very uncomfortable, and had problems with the range in the beginning of the hamill fight. He won convincingly yes, but that was later in the fight. I dont think the -300 is justified, because of how hesistant and reluctant he was to engage. It may be that the experience factor also comes into play. But i am def not paying the juice in this fight.

Same here. Not taking the juice. The Janitor might be worth a look at anything over +300, it's either that or a no-play.

I think as the fight goes, it favors the tall swedish guy. If the fight ends early, i think we will see the tower of a man even the ground. And btw i think gustaffson should keep his hands up, and not move them up and down.Maybe it disrupt his moving pattern, but he should at least try to hold them up in the start of the fight, when he is at his most vulnerable.

I'll have to take a closer look at the first round of Gus versus Hamill as I was distracted at the time and barely recall it. It's interesting if that's the case because that seems to be a bad habit of his. For example, he was taken down and mounted by Te Huna early in the first round and, of course, subbed late in the first round by Mr Wonderful.

That's a really dangerous habit to have against a 40 year old Soviet wrecking ball who still finishes guys in the first round.

That's what I'm thinking. Vlad's got some power, too. If he connects, I think he can wobble him. Most likely outcome is Gustaffson winning by submission, but the risk is def not worth the juice.
