Why is tape on fighters so hard to find?
I recently got into betting on UFC fights, partly for fun, but mostly because I spend so much time watching fights that I might as well try and make some money off it.

I've got a decent collection of ufc event dvds at my house, and I enjoy them, but I am done paying 20 bucks for a long expired event dvd just to look back at a couple fights if I want to.

Why does the UFC make it so hard to watch these fights? You can't even buy the fight nights, and forget Zuffa offering some kind of streaming archives account.

Veterans, whats your secret? Do you just have stacked DVRs full of events at home? Is there something I'm missing?

I thought you could download any fights on UFC.com for 99cents or something?

I just use mmalinker, mma-core, pancrase.org and a couple of random ones through google searching.

mmalinker is great for finding matches from people's pre-ufc days, but say I want to look up Jim Miller's fight against Mac Danzig. It's not gonna happen. You have to catch the fights within a week after they happen or else they get taken down.

As far as ufc offering fight viewings for 99 cents a piece... I'll look into it but the UFC site is pretty shitty to navigate. Thanks!

I have a nice pride collection. Pretty much all of the old pride fights. I got them off ebay at a decent price.

the ufc has been cracking down on alot of the sites with vidz, but after an event you can always downlad the full show on torrents.

Have you heard of Zuffa doing any property lawsuits for torrents on any of the major trackers? Specifically geared towards fining the downloader and not the seeder organizations. I looked and all I could find were business license suits, but Zuffa strikes me as the type of corp to really hit the fanbase hard for DLing with Intellectual Property lawsuit BS.

Copyright infringement seems to be the key issue. When you're watching the event on PPV in a bar or what not, ever take notice of the scrolling text across the screen? "...unlawful distribution of this broadcast will be subject to..."
