what i'm afraid of is that machida beats evans again and then rua vs evans becomes meaningless.

Not sure I'm following you. If Machida beats Evans, then Rua would fight Machida.

Well since Rua is out till march, I say they set up 2 fights were the winners fight each other & then they fight Rua in March, Plenty of time to get this going. Machida vs ?, Evans vs ? that is the question?

They need to throw Anderson Silva in there

yeah i think that makes more sense. id like to see machida fight at least twice more before taking rua on again. LHW is a little messy right now though with alot of rock paper scissors match-ups so i could see alot of possibilities happening.

If Anderson beats the loud mouth convincingly. Why not offer for him to move to LHW and fight Rashad for the interim title. Then have Machida vs Rampage for next title fight.

i think that is similar to what dana wants. He said something along the lines of, if anderson beats chael, then he fights vitor, then its a move to LHW.

Rashad has more than earned a shot at the belt. He's beat 2 top contenders to get it. Originally he was supposed to fight Rampage for the #1 contender, but fought Thiago instead. He's won 2 straight fight when he was only supposed to fight 1 for a rematch. Machida can do the same and fight someone soon, then fight again around the same time as shogun for the #1 contender. Also Rampage doesn't deserve a title shot with just 1 win. I think it would be best if Machida and Rampage fought separate top contenders and have then have the winners fight for the #1 spot. Right now nobody in my opinion is just 1 fight away from a title shot in that whole division.

yeah, that's really weird. a rampage vs machida fight makes the most sense. rampage lost to evans while machida lost to rua.

I think they should do a 4 man tourney, Machida, Evans, Rampage, Rich or Jones. That could give enough time and sufficient entertainment in LHW until Shogun comes back.
