edit Minus 2 Units Both lost. BUT...both had losers with similar parallels, righteousness and potential.
Making one betting session out of Fri/Sat fights- this, ACB 90(12PM EST tomorrow) and UFC FN 139. The goal is to have a week's payday at end of Sat. night.
Tonight's card is lightly carried, only two fights @ like 3 books. We're taking a flyer on both heavy underdogs, so start light-- there's a good chance we lose both.
Braden Smith +636 Loss- had a fleeting submission chance. Only 22, off 15 months, worth betting next time against just about anyone, plus following--will contend one day as he keeps adding strength and experience. His opponent just much classier at this stage...and much stronger.
If this one hits, we're cutting the next bet in half-- not only to up & pull the profit + only bet with the House's money tomorrow, but because the next bet won't be so attractive at the comparably diminished odds. Also looking ahead, tomorrow's fights don't seem particularly bettable / high payoffs, with the first card(and better choices) not carried at many books.
And even if the next fight was @ high odds, it's the nightcap-- why risk the lion share of the day's profit on one single event(or avoid smaller bet on larger payoff, larger bet on smaller payoff).
Brandon Royval +214 Loss- Another worth betting next time against anyone. Slightly outclassed(level of previous competition) and slightly understrenghed-called up on 1½ weeks notice, almost pulled off submission while injuring his opponent--who looks like another Minotauro-never-tap-out, and who also may take the belt from the permanent champion.
Don't accept under +200
Bets for tomorrow up in another thread after this card, since they start midday.
