Not a major fan of this card, both from the betting standpoint, and the entertainment factor.
However, a few fights I like and took this AM...
Dos Santos (-300) for 3 Units
This is a fight where two fighter's careers are going in opposite directions. Yvel was lucky he was even allowed to fight this fight, after the past incidents. He better be careful, and pick his strikes wisely, or he'll never fight in the states again. Have to think going into a fight with "being careful" on his mind, against an animal like Dos Santos will not fare well. I will be completely shocked if Yvel pulls off the victory. Would be a 5 Unit play if it was a little lower.
Evans (-190) for 2 Units
Superior boxer, better wrestler. I'm a big Thiago Silva fan, and up until I put money on this fight, I was hoping he won. With that said, looking at every angle...I just can't see how he can win, besides a lucky punch. Thiago won't be able to take Evans to the ground due to Rashad's takedown defense, and he'll get way too frustrated with Rashad's "dance moves" which I feel will leave him open for the KO.
Ludwig (+405) risking 1 Unit
Value fight here. Saw him yesterday at the weigh-in's and it looks like he cut A LOT of weight. Ludwig is the bigger fighter, he walks around way bigger then he showed up to that weigh-in at. I'm hoping he was able to bulk back up a little bit, get hydrated, and get enough to sleep to bang. I think he has good power, is a pretty smart fighter, and if he's healthy, should win this. I like my odds here.
