Ward's going to have his hands full in this one.
Kessler's the type of guy that don't look all that great on film but when you step in the ring with him he literally starts making you second guess yourself and then he attacks out of nowhere, catching you
He has an excellent jab and good hand speed. He is also very strong.
Ward has all the ability to beat him but he must execute a perfect game plan. He can't loose focus because one powerful straight right or right hook to the chin will finish Ward. He must stay away from the ropes and avoid them like the plaque
He must you use his feet and stick to his jab and land straight rights to kessler's body. Kessler don't like it downstairs, but while Ward lands body shots this leave him vulnerable to sneaky right, left hooks from Kessler.
Ward has the tendency to showboat and he can't do this with Kessler. Not only does this piss him off and make him perform better, he has that kind of power and instinct that can come out of nowhere. Kessler turns into an animal if he realizes he's loosing on the cards. Ward isn't a hard puncher so this makes him even more vulnerable to getting caught.
Kessler in his last fight looked very rusty, while Ward looked sharp. Kessler has only fought once in the USA and that was back in 2000. Ward and Kessler have the same reach and height on paper but I give Kessler a slight height advantage. Kessler by far has the best resume and challenged the better opposition.
This is an extremely hard fight to cap. I think Wards going be a little shocked by Kesslers hand speed and strength. he must fight the perfect fight to win and I see him doing that. It probably isn't going to be exciting but I see a close descision in favor of Ward I would go medium here. I believe Ward wants this more than anything
Ward by a close decision but take ward +175 straight out. I'm going medium on this
