Looks like Vera saw a pattern in Cruz's fighting style that got predictable when Cruz leans left or right. An opening to do a head kick to Cruz.

Cruz is done. His lack of punching power is his curse. At 37 years of age his reflexes are slowing and his run and gun style of fighting is garbage now.

Cruz won all the rounds until he got caught. If he knew he going to get head kicked in the 4th round, he probably would just fight defensively until all 5 rounds were done.

^ Cruise was having success with his take downs, should have kept that up in rounds 4 and 5 to burn the clock maybe?

He was slowing down and becoming predictable and got kicked in the face. End of story. At 37 years old it's hard to bounce around and evade for 5 rounds.

That bounce around and evade crap works great in your 20's but in your late 30's not so much.. That's my take anyways.
