Romero fighting hard was expected. Whitaker impressed everyone with his heart. he took some shots. but he didn't whoop yoel's ass. yoel whooped his ass in two different rounds.

That fight should've been a draw. Round 5 was the definition of a 10-8 round. What are these judges thinking?

Was thinking maybe draw myself there....Was a live bet at those odds and it wasn't out of the question at the end there.. I would have played that if I thought of it.. I didn't..

Romero is game still at 41 years of age.. This dude was blessed with good genes and believes in the higher power.. Lethal combination to own and have as a combat fighter in boxing or MMA..

That's all I have to say about that..

They need to change how these fights are scored. If one fighter hurts the other guy, then that guy should win no matter the volume of punches thrown before.

If neither guy hurts the other, then yeah go to the point system of volume punches thrown.

But Romero hurt Whittaker badly in the Round 3, and Round 5. Whittaker never rocked Romero. Yet Whittaker gets the win? Just dumb scoring.

If I wanted to watch guys win on points, I'd watch boxing. MMA there should be more discretion in the scoring

Yeh.

The only thing Whittaker threw in the latter rounds was that push kick.

That probably did no damage at all

While Yoel was wailing on Whittaker and had him visibly wobbled in rounds 3, 4 & 5.

Another Darren Till vs Stephen Thompson decision where judges score the wrong thing.

Where were those "advancing" and "cage control" statistics for Yoel in the latter rounds? They pull those things out very selectively don't they?

Maybe that is why Ben Henderson got a lot of bogus decisions JIbby. The almighty one stepped in. Or maybe it was just because all the money was always on his opponent. Another almighty one called "bookies".

on a serious note i had that a draw i had whittaker up 3-1 going into round 5 and i gave yoel a 10-8 round 5.... very close fight though , volume over power shots and being the champ gave whittaker the slight edge, great fight though....

yoel vs gustaffson would be bananas

In this 2nd fight, Whittaker gave Romero a taste of his own medicine by throwing a lot of oblique kicks..of which Romero capitalised from in the 1st fight...kind a feels like Whittaker making use of the technique so often stopped Romero from using it.

Hey tell Miri i said hi. Loved his input on a fight. We had a rough start in the beginning but the guy knew his stuff which is why i put down my ego with him. We also knew one thing for sure and that was that JIbby was half nuts.

This was a serious card but i wasn't feeling it on any fights really. Last fight was awesome and had me on the edge of my seat. I did like the Arloski fight to and did like the Covington fight but that last fight was the shit. As a one time huge boxing fan you never get night like this. With boxing u get a bunch of shit fights till the main event and they happen about once a year. The Punk fight was really painful where i had trouble watching it. I believe like Turbo that Jackson carried him but could be wrong. I was on the edge of my seat with that one wondering if Punk was going to end up in a casket. How can that camp let him go out there and fight. They had to know he sucks. The way he was throwing his hand i don't think i saw one straight punch. This has to be the end of this joke of an experiment.
