Cejudo and RDA looked great today. Both near flawless victories. You could tell Cejudo wanted to show off his new striking. I would've liked to see more of it myself.

I forgot canadian events have that silly: "this event is brought to you by the state of canada" bullshit announced before fights as if Hitler were running the country and wanted credit for everything that happened in its borders.

Canadian judges are suspect and might have gifted Nunes the decision because she represents LGBTQIAwatevaz and cuz there's a big political push to shove those gay/transgender values down pplz throats.

It was a close fight though. Shevchenko could have turned up the pace & been more aggressive.

not a great night ... RDA submission prop saved my night in the end....

really was hoping to get that valentina decision, i thought she won imo but i can see how people would be on nunes.. round 3 was a toss up , slightly lean valentina and round 5 valentina was about to win but she just missed that judo throw.. sucks because nunes did absolutely 0 damage on top and was actually getting elbowed... Valentina would be the 125 champ no doubt in my mind

also Cejudo vs DJ 2 needs to happen asap, super pissed Cejudo didnt call him out i guess he wants 1 more matchup to keep improving, his stand up looked amazing tonight ... messed up taking him by decision didnt see him getting a ko like that, props to him.....

both propsects didnt look great at all tonight either, really surprised gavin tucker lost i honestly thought he was gonna cruise through this fight with his foot work, but ya live and ya learn onto the next

I feel you man. Pedro and Tucker seriously let me down. Tucker showed some poor fight IQ in round 3 vs Sicilia and we all thought that was just because he was cruising. Apparently not. He's a dummy. Lots of skills but his brain isn't there. My biggest play, smh.

A pretty shitty event for me. Because I had bet on Tucker, lost that. Then I doubled down on the next fight to make up for that loss, Evans-Smith, lost that. What's frustrating is I made good little bets here and there. Nunes, Shevchenko not going the distance, Dos Anjos, Stephens, and i managed to avoid making consensus bets like on Pedro. But it's not who you bet on, but how much you bet on each one that matters.

By far I think White was the best bet on the card for the value. I think he beats Clarke 19 out of 20 times. Clarke is rightfully retired now, he was probably getting cut anyways.

Struggled all night but hit RDA which was my big bet.. Latiffi and Jeremy Stevens as well... Lost all the chick fights (Sara McMann was a killer) and those few unexpected dog hits stung which all hurt in the end though..

Lost a few bucks with this event but nothing really bad. I can't call this a event a wash though I lost... I also don't think Amanda Nunes won that decision either.. That last main event fight put me in the red for good..

Too many unexpected dog hits..

Onto the next.. Oh well..

I'm not sure how easy it was for Moras to get that armbar on Evans-Smith. She showed great flexibility. Women who are tall and skinny are always at risk of getting armbarred. Like Juliana Pena got armbarred too. You always have to be aware of that when betting on a tall skinny woman.

but arm bars and length dont really have any correlation imo
the hardest thing for longer lanky guys is getting out of a side control position because its hard to move your long legs back into a half guard for a sweep.... most longer guys like being on bottom in a grappling exchange because they can throw up triangles and stuff with their long legs, also when having the back throwing on a body triangle is deadly while going for a choke... in the end its what your style is but you want to match your style with your body type for maximum potential..

A few things. The arm is longer so easier to hang onto, it's also harder to bend or rip it out of the hold. Also, taller women tend to have less muscle, so they can't muscle their way out of it as easily as if they were short and stocky. They're also taller, so aren't as agile manuevering positions on the ground.
