They didn't really have any rules back then, no weight classes either.... I think only 2 rules were enforced - No ball shots or eye poking that's it.. Soccer head kicks and head butts were legal for a short time.. Oh those early days were great, nobody had a ground game except for Royce Gracie and one Judo guy, wrestlers from top position only like Dan Severn and Shamrock.. The boxers wore one or two real boxing gloves (watch the vid for the one boxing glove on)..

I remember 2 brutal fights.. Both kick boxers got ruined.. Forget their names???

      - A big judo guy from Europe in a gi pinned this little black kick boxer dude and dropped massive elbows to his face from a side mount.. Dude was so knocked out cold and busted up.. Felt bad for the little guy as he had no chance..

      - Another funny fight I remember was they hyped up this kick boxer dude and claimed he loved getting punched in the face and got stronger as the fight goes on.. He was matched up with a brawler, some biker dude from Hell's Angels or something.. Fight started and the kick boxer starts kicking him and the biker dude got pissed off and turned red in the face and just lowered the boom, one punch to the temple and it was over just like that for the hyped up kick boxer.. I laughed...

I wish I could pull those 2 fights on vid and post them up as you guys would laugh. I honestly don't remember any of their names.. Had to be in UFC 2 or UFC 3 events.. Just funny but brutal stuff..

The 1st fight was Remco Pardoul vs Orlando Weit. Pardoel lost to Royce in his next fight that night - UFC 2.

The 2nd fight (based off of your description) may be Roland Payne vs Harold Howard. HH said "we have a saying back home: If you're coming on... COME ON! LOL)

Ball shots were illegal in UFC 1 but were unbanned in UFC 2 and beyond. I don't know when ball shots were banned again.. Watch Joe Son (in prison now for rape I believe) vs. Keith Hackney.

^^^ Yep those are the 2 fights that I remember the best from those early years.. Good stuff Capt!!! Classics!!! Keith Hackney I remember well.. Lol..

Orlando Weit really got brutalized with those elbows from Remco after the Judo toss and pin.... Felt so bad for the little guy at the time..You had to watch the pre hype on those 2 fights as it really built the fighters up at the time.. Roland Payne... Ha ha.. He even had the name which helped with his hype..

Yep Hackney went for the junk.. Lol.... Dirty man!!! I can't believe those were legal even at that time.. WOW.. I forgot about that..
