how rare is that...that a corner and/or doctors prevent further unnecessary baseball-bat blows to the cranium when the outcome of the fight is not in question...in the interest of the fighter's well-being...

i remember thinking the same thing with Erick Silva vs. Matt Brown...he shouldn't have been allowed to come out for that final round that added additional months to recovery time short time (and caused who knows how much additional unnecessary brain damage long term)...

we love watching these guys "take it"...but at some point their heart and desire to win/entertain us must be over-ruled by those who should care about them...their corner-men, and as a last resort, a sensible doctor

yeah at some point you just have to think of the fighter as commodity and Alves is bad matchup for a lot of people, sooner he is in the cage again the better. In this case I don't think it was even his corner was it? Thought it was the doctor calling it, I'm in other room now so can't even hear what they are saying.
