the UFC didnt need to replace Diaz by faking an injury...they stripped the title shot and gave it to Condit cause he no showed numerous press obligations...WTF r u talking about? there was no conspiracy there nor was anyone saying otherwise...it was pretty clear tho the UFC wanted Diaz to get a title shot tho eventually and they gave it to him coming off a loss just because it was a big $$$ fight...they said it was because GSP demanded it but anyone with half a brain realizes it was all about $$$...much like everyone of these fights, it all comes down to $$$...what sells better? rousey v. zingano TUF/PPV or rousey v. tate II TUF/PPV? what sells better? bendo v. grant PPV or bendo v. pettis II PPV? cmon now...$$$ talks...as for anderson taking a dive? thats not even remotely close to these other scenarios...that would require actual fight fixing...something that could potentially ruin the sport...bumping a title contender aside in exchange for a bigger selling fight is friggin pretty common...not even close to similar...UFC has been bumping legit contenders aside for the bigger fight for years now and we all still watch it religiously...Comment -

Pettis is a beast. I shouldn't really knock him since he is an exciting fighter, in a time of lay and prayers. But he thinks he is entitled to anything. Calls for a 145lb shot with no 145lb fights...gets it. Gets injured. Says TJ Grant should leave the card since it is his home town. Says no one knows who Josh Thomson is, although he was in teh UFC when Pettis was a runny nosed youth. SF champion. Wants a 155lb shot instead of that matchup...gets it. Is he the new Randy Couture?

Rubber Pettis had balls calling Aldo (top three pound for pound) out and throw in the fact everyone wants to see it which makes the match easy to make. Now if someone like Sean Shirk asked the same thing Dana wouldn't have done shit cause nobody would care to see it. Pettis could be like Pierce and say nothing and get demoted to the prelims.
