Kudos to you for admitting defeat. Like I said on the mma hour, we all make mistakes. The long-term successful bettors adapt their strategy to avoid making the same pitfalls they have in the past.

Even when bets cash, they can be 'square' and learned from (ex. I bet Gilbert Melendez at the -300 opener [which was subsequently bet down below -500 by like-minded sheep like me!] in his trilogy fight with Josh Thomson -- we narrowly survived but I learned my lesson). This is a more glaringly obvious example because it blew up in your face but, yes, I am a strong believer that parlaying heavily juiced superstar favourites together in combat sports is generally -EV unless it's a mismatch of historic proportions and the public market hasn't acknowledged that with corresponding landslide odds, which is quite rare.
