    I know what you mean.

Not only that, but it's being overtly cocky after picking anything from -600 to -900 in a constant basis and that's pretty much it. Well, I guess you get to gloat almost 9/10 times but there's a Matt Serra waiting for all of us and I guess we don't talk about those excessively.

anyone else dissapointed with Zombie's performance? I mean Aldo broke his foot in rd 1 and Zombie did nothing.

I hate these guys that build their entire career fighting a certain figting style that they've spent 1000's of hours in the gym perfecting. Then get to an important title fight and decide to fight some ultra conservative GSP style game plan.

Zombie didnt want to get knocked out cold I get it, but the only way he has any shot is his old style pressure/scramble offense. Low percentage I know. But how many times was Zombie going to win a decision fighting they way he did rds 1-3?

A lot of this can be said for Ellenburger too. Dude didn't want to get knocked out after all that shit he talked so he took zero chances and lost a lopsided decision. Everyone is afraid to get highlight reeled ko'd in big fights now. Something that didn't exist in the pride era.

RIP pride. And Zombie should drop his stupid nickname now. He has forsaken his identity with that horse shit game plan.

This is exactly how I feel. I can't believe I bet on that can Vinny. I don't hate myself for the Machida bet as much. That still makes sense to me but Vinny. Damn.

I started 28 years ago back in 1985. I'll keep going as long as my knees & back hold up. If I wasn't on PED's I doubt I could still do what I do. In some ways I get more cardio & a better work out skating than rolling on the mat.

Sometimes a camp/coach will have their fighter fight a different way because they know that the opposition is planning for their usual style. However, switching things up in order to confuse an opponent usually does not work. The zombie & Ellenburger fights are good examples. Zombie should have used a high pressure style & Ellenburger should have blitzkrieged Rory. Pride was the best for a number of reasons. Fewer rules (knees & soccer kicks) & everyone was jacked on every PED available at the time. The yellow card kept the action going and let us never forget Lenne Hardt! Hopefully One FC can continue to get more popular. I believe their rules to be the best.

I don't think that was a gameplan on Ellenburger's part, I think he simply had no answer for Rory's jab and movement.

Agreed. However, he had the choice to fight in a manner which would have increased his defensive vulnerabilities but also increased his chances for a KO victory. During a recent interview Johny Hendricks said that he knows that he will have the same choice as Ellenburger & Koscheck vs GSP had. He stated that he has already made the decision that he would rather get KO'd going for a KO. He will happily eat 3 of GSP's strikes in order to land just 1 of his. He wants to make this a dog fight in which either he or GSP gets KO'd. If he holds true to his word I believe his chances for victory will be vastly increased. Can not wait for this fight!

Could've had the first TKO by footstomps to go with his twister submission on his resume...

They both fought "not to lose". The moment got to them.

I agree with you to a certain extent, but max props need to be given to Aldo for disguising such a massive injury. Other than the lack of leg kicks, nobody watching the fight saw a thing. The guy deserves an Oscar.
