this is for those that follow mma events besides ufc. this is a mix of k1 kickboxing and mma bouts. le banner is scratched. so i dont know who hunts opponent is currently.
with most japanese cards, im not up to date with some of the fighters, thats why i leave a no comment, unless i get a good tip.
Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Kiyoshi Tamura- no lean yet, both r shop worn, sak more so than tamura
Joachim Hansen vs. Gesias Cavalcante- hansen (although hansen was knocked down many times vs alvarez, i dont feel jz is as good a striker as alvarez. jz was dominated on the ground in the aoki 2 match. if hansen can get the fight to the ground, he will dominate jz. this is a tossup fight imo, but i lean to hansen as he is carrying steam from his recent gp title win)
HIROYA vs. Shota Shimada- no lean
Ryuya Kusakabe vs. Koya Urabe- no lean
Gegard Mousasi vs. Musashi- this is a k1 match apparently. gegard is an exciting mma fighter with very serviceable striking skills. he is a jack of all trades mma fighter, and im unsure whether his striking is enough to carry him in this match
Tatsuya Kawajiri vs. Kozo Takeda- this is k1 as well
Shinya Aoki vs. Eddie Alvarez- tough call. alvarez is ultra athletic and explosive whereas aoki is a submission machine. whoever can implement their gameplan will win it. i lean to aoki as alvarez is a wrestler and likes to gnp. aoki should weather the standup storm and scrap out a dec like his second jz match
Mark Hunt vs. Jerome Le Banner
Hideo Tokoro vs. Daisuke Nakamura
Semmy Schilt vs. Siala "Mighty Mo" Siliga- schilt
Yoshihiro Sato vs. Artur Kyshenko
Mirko "CroCop" Filipovic vs. Hong Man Choi- crocop. he needs this win really badly. i dont see any headkick ko's however
